More On Installing For Diagnosis Via Modem:

To prepare for remote diagnostics via modem, the owner of Alert! would instruct the user of the remote machine to download the Remote Communicator Application and copy it to his or her machine.  

Once the remote user has started up this application, the Alert! owner would be able to connect by telling Alert! to dial the remote machine.

No further intervention is needed by the remote user. See “Diagnosing Via Modem” for more info.
